{ Review | Art } A6 Khadi Papers, 20 sheets, 320 gsm

We went to the farm today. I brought my watercolors as usual, along with one of my favourite books. I had a bit of time to watercolor and try out my Khadi Papers from Artwhale.ph. I figured I might as give my impressions on them!

I bought the paper pack 20 pieces, A6 size, and 320 gsm.

They come packaged in plastic with a little slip of paper with details about the paper and the company.

I think the best way to describe this paper is that it’s pretty much brimming with character. It’s got beautiful texture and edges. If you’re a big fan of very textured paper, you’ll love Khadi.

I use Holbein watercolours that I regularly buy from Japan (but you can purchase it locally here and at Deovir outlets), and I find that Khadi papers respond so well to these watercolors.

The cotton rag content is lovely to work on. It absorbs heavy washes amazingly, but it does take a bit of time to dry. It can’t withstand scrubbing so much, though: sometimes bits of fiber appear. The first time it happened was definitely surprising, but you tend to get used to how the paper works eventually.

I love the heavy, handmade look this paper has. Those edges are perfect. The paper is also stark white, so if that’s what you’re looking for, along with texture, definitely try Khadi Papers. Artwhale.ph sells it for 400.00 PHP. They come in more sizes and shapes, like A4 and circles!
